Prof. Chhin Senya graduated in 1987 in General Medicine (MD) from Russia but his longing for further education continued and obtained another higher diploma in tropical medicine (DTM&H) from Mahidol University, Thailand Faculty of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene in 1997. Prof. Chhin Senya believes in community health development at mass level and always helps the poor patients seeking medical help at the SSIUH.
Prof. Senya is among the most senior physicians of Cambodia & his special interest in communicable diseases makes him unique and prominent in the medical field and among Cambodian physicians. He has worked with the international researchers and public health experts in USA on HIV-AIDS from 1999-2002. Infectious Disease Specialists have additional training in immunology, epidemiology and proper use of medicines for infection control. Their extensive training and proficiency focuses on all kinds of infections caused by bacteria, viruses, fungi and parasites.
Prof. Senya has served in many renowned hospitals of Cambodia. He is working as the editor of the Research Medical Journal of IU and also holding the post of Deputy Director of Nursing Affairs. Quality Nursing Education under his supervision will provide high quality health and high standards nursing care to Cambodia.
Prof. Senya has presented numerous Verbal and Written Papers / Research Data in many national and international journals and conferences conducted in many countries including Japan, Australia, Thailand and Cambodia. The most recent effort is the Swine Flu (H1N1) in International University - IU. In Cambodia, his name is a testimonial in working against AIDS. For his contributions towards the AIDS, he has been awarded by the following occasions;
